pip seems to be doing better and better these days. never did i imagine that after over two months she still would be so different from her usual self. a woman in my church who is moving wanted to see a picture of piper since she had never met her, the one i showed her on my phone made me nearly tear up at what seemed like ages ago. i know i shouldn’t complain since she is doing so much better, but she has lost nearly all of her standing and walking progress. i might just be nervous and crazy, but i’ve wondered a few times if certain things are lost forever after january’s episode. i hope not. it’s been really hard for me to not get upset about.
on a lighter, and happier note, we had some visitors up at blythedale on friday. it was a chick party. pip was crazy about olive. olive was crazy about pip’s puppy toys.
here is the chick party in the middle of some finger puppet time.
i made a whole slew of pretty hair things for piper jane. she lost a lot of hair when she got sick, and i think these help with a little sprucing.
on sunday i got to read a lot of stories to pipsey. then she fell asleep. i liked just snuggling with her.
these next pictures are pretty old. Linda came to see pip back in february. i’m not very good at getting pictures off the big camera, so sometimes i forget for long periods of time. anyway, linda came and probably just about the peak of pips withdrawals when she was acting cuh-razy. glad that’s over.
Linda is having a baby, hooray.
sorry the beginning of this post is such a downer. maybe piper will get all better soon and then i wont have to worry about it anymore. and then maybe i’ll finally shut up with all the complain-ys.
love, reagan

every once in awhile I come over here from Long Story Short (katie’s blog) and just read your amazing story of strength and resiliency. I’m so impressed. Complain away, and keep on.
Love that Piper girl! So glad I got to meet her finally.
I love those little hair flairs that you made. I think you need your own etsy page. I would be a customer of yours for sure.
Pippy is sure looking better. She will be back to her walking, peeking, self in no time. Prolly even better, with all the meat she is packin on.
