i dont think we have ever gone to cedar city without also going bowling. bowling is one of those activities that you dont have to be good at to have fun. also, no one loves bowling as much as jake. sometimes when i’m trying to get romantic with jake, i’ll be like “i like your____” (insert face, lips, butt, eyes) and jake will respond with…”i like bowling”. it is never not funny.

if you are ever in cedar city, you have GOT to check out the bowling alley. i am not sure who decorated it, but it is one of a kind. disney princess bath mats hung up as wall art, a train set on one of the tvs, loony toons stuffed animals….it’s pretty crazy. please, if anyone who owns the bowling alley is reading this, dont change a thing.

bowling shoes are cute. here is me, mel and my mom. i mean, here are our feets.

here is a little video i made on my phone. my favorite part is when my dad throws his arms in the air, like “aw shucks”.

the other thing that we always do is drive or hike a canyon. the red rocks are stunning, and i love that clean mountain air. the white snow against the red rock is always an unexpected sight. it’s so beautiful. i bet a lot of people there take it for granted. i know a few people who have lived there their whole lives and never hiked any of the canyons. i would do it once a week if i lived there.

i wish the sky would have been bluer. but i still think it’s pretty cute that my dad had the idea of standing on this bench.

ps is my dad shrinking?
