It’s mother’s day and I love it. I am still trying to figure out Motherhood:Pip Edition for myself. It’s a daily quest. I am pretty sure every mother wonders at some point why their child chose them and what they can do for their child that no one else can. I have a few goals as a mother and making sure I give to Piper Jane what only Reagan can give is number one on there. I’m not sure how to pinpoint what exactly that is, but feeling like there is something special about me that Piper Jane needs (and maybe it’s something that she can’t get from anyone else) is probably what helps me get through hard times the most. I have a conversation with my head to remind myself that I’m Pippy’s favorite and to snap out of it, freak.
Here are some things I can do with and for Pipster that no one else can (dont be jeal):
Below I am playing the role of a pillow to sleep on (this is before I got banned from getting in Pip’s bed, booo!)
Being a tree that gets bear hugged by a Pipsqueak. She looks like she is about to take off and climb me like Edward and spider monkey.
Playing Puppeteer. It’s really hard for me to not think of “Being John Malcovich” when I look at this picture.
Sending a message through Piper Jane. (Make Babies Not War)
And maybe my most important role is that of the arm rest. Pipey is in the middle of some hard core thought.
Being Pipsqueak’s mama is my favorite thing to do.

You are such an amazing mother to Miss Piper! You are fun and cheerful and love her so much! You advocate for her care and you maintain a good attitude through all the crap you have to put up with that goes with a child with special needs. It is very obvious that YOU are truly THE PERFECT mother for that little girl. She is so lucky to have you and I am so lucky to learn from watching you. Happy Mommy Day!
I agree that you are the best mom for Piper by far. C’mon, who else could make such an awesome arm rest? Happy Mother’s Day!!
All of your pictures are so beautiful! Happy Mothers Day!! It looks like you really enjoyed it. What a beautiful family you have.
These pictures are gorgeous. Piper does look like a little pixie. Happy Mother’s day.
Your pictures are so beautiful and touching. I love the one where Piper is hugging your legs!
I think you and your little girl are a huge inspiration. Reading your story really puts how much I should appreciate each day of everyday life with my boys into perspective. I think your amazing, and Piper and your husband are too.
I am so happy that Piper gets to have the perfect mommy for her to do the things that only you can!!
piper’s a lucky girl to have such a great mama. for reals.
Oh my goodness. You are gorgeous and adorable, and I totally envy your bod. I just had my 4th, and though the weight is starting to come off, it’s like living inside a marshmallow suit. The frame pic is my fav.
I saw your blog on Mamapedia, and was drawn to cruise your blob because my lil’ sister has a Piper Erin, and it’s interesting to see how girls with the same name turn out.
In another sense, I feel like a sister to you. I see, I read, and I hope you know that there are random people out there who are pulling for you, laughing with you, and knocked out by your sense of fashion and fun with your daughter (saddle shoes!!! SUPER CUUTE!). You’ve never met me, but I’m here for you all the same.
So, hello, and lets be friends!
I found you through Kristen at More Than The Mullberries. I love her! I read your guest blog and then followed it to YOUR blog. First of all, YOU are beautiful. Second, I don’t even know you but I can tell you are AMAZING! And third, your sweet baby girl is so lucky to have you as her mom! Thanks for blogging about your life with Piper. It is very insperational and touching! I will keep reading for sure.
