Our Pip visit was something to write home about today. I am amazed at what a mama’s girl she has become. Her favorite place is in my lap and she snuggles me more than ever. This is one of those things that I have always hoped would happen, but wasn’t sure ever would. It is very rewarding. Remember, I’M the one who puts the mother in smother. And all of *a sudden Pip is in full blown smother mode. Go Pip.
We decided to get all spiced up for our visit today and take some pictures. The only difference from normal is the spicing, because we all know Jake’s full name is Jacob “the Snaps” Breinholt.
Funny story about the above book. It was delivered to my work on Thursday wrapped up in Christmas paper. I was so confused and then saw it was shipped on December 14th, 2009. Way to go USPS. Anyway, thanks to Nathan and Melanie for the book. Pippy died over the googley eyes on each page.
I am also really amazed at how pretty and big-girl-esque Piper Jane is these days. Of course I have always thought she is pretty, but she is just so pretty. Like a doll. Or a fairy. Or a nugget.
Definitely a fairy.
Speaking of fairies. Aunt Melinda was in town over the weekend and she got her this fairy doll named “rose”. Pipsey can hardly put it down. She is so my daughter if that is her thing. I was all about mermaids and fairies rather than princesses.
This Pip-ture below is amazing. I love it so much that I might print it off and eat it for dinner.
Family picture time with a mom, a dad, a pip and a fairy. Naturally.
(*Note: please see my first time ever time writing “all of a sudden” instead of “all of the sudden”. I’m still not sure which one is proper. I say “the sudden” and I think everyone else is wrong. I’m just trying to fit in by writing “a sudden”)

I am in love with these photos. You looked SO gorgeous today. Happy Mother’s Day!
Those pictures are beautiful! You’re right, she does look like a little fairy! Your hair in those pics is awesome! How did you do it? Curling iron? Hot curlers? And that pic of Jake and Piper together was fabulous! I’ve always thought she looks so much like you but in that picture, I gotta say, she is the spittin’ image of her daddy!

That’s funny that Kristen loves the smocked shirt, because (I’m pretty sure) it’s a hand me down from Kate, purchased by Grandma Creep Mouse.
Hi there. I’ve been stalking your blog ever since I read your birth story on Design Mom. And I just had to comment because yes, your Piper is SO pretty. There is something about her eyes that makes you feel like you can see into her soul. Captivating. By the way, I have a new niece named Piper. Love the name!
It’s naptime here which is when I blog hop. “All of the sudden” I realised I hadn’t visited your blog in a while. LOVE your blog and your sweet, pretty Piper! Such great pics, too.
I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
