Piper Jane mauls mama

One of my favorite new things that the pip does, happens when I’m on the floor with her. We often put a sheet down and it’s been a great way for her to spread out and crawl around more (which I’ll have you know she is nailing). One time I laid down on the sheet and I guess seeing me like that sent Piper Jane completely over the edge. It’s the most hilarious and strange thing to have her mama laying down on the floor. She grins a huge, evil, mischief making grin and bee-lines it over to me. Then she immediately lays down across my neck, sits on my head and face and curls up with me, tapping my eye-lids (keep ‘em closed!). She does all of those things. She plays “Musical Mama” (like musical laps, but only with me instead and again without music) and goes from one corner of me to the next, mauling me with snuggles. She laughs and makes herself at home. It’s my favorite. I know I already mentioned that but step off. It’s my favorite.

The one shoe off is really a regular Piper Jane touch. So is that adorable pouch of princesses.

This is my absolute favorite picture from saturday, and maybe my top 10 favorite piptures ever. She is laying on my face (MY FACE!), playing with her princess. Happy as a clam. (I hear clams say “happy as a pip”, have you heard that too?) Anyway, nothing weird about laying on mama’s face and playing with my princess…..

Pippy fell asleep in Jake’s lap not long after smothering me. She never let go of Sleeping Beauty for one second. Man, she has really taken a liking to lap sleeping lately. Booyah.I strongly suggest you go find your own pip.

Your Pippy makes my heart happy. I can’t get enough of her little face!

And Reagan, your experience being Piper Jane’s mama might be different from a lot of us, but it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to see that you are fan-diddly-tastic at what you do. Why else would that little Pip lie on your face?

    Hi Reagan,
I’m so glad Cjane gave us the heads up on you guys–I love your blog and especially your sweet Pip!
It is sooooo OBVIOUS that precious little girl knows EXACTLY who her mommy and daddy are! She is soooo BONDED to you. I hope someday I can meet you guys–what an inspiration you all are! Hugs, Lori

Beautiful. Pip is quite the fashionista, just like her mommy :) I love her outfits.

Do you dress her daily, bringing her clothes from your house to hers?

    Hello,
I have been visiting you since you posted on CJane. I have to admit I can’t get enough of your darling family. (somehow that seems weird but I promise it isn’t!). I have thought so much about your little family and your unique situation. I remember in your cjane post you mentioned not feeling like a “real” mom. I finally figured out in this post why that seem so untrue to me. It is because you are so obviously completely in love wtih your child. And that is how all real moms should feel. In fact, I think it makes you more real than some! Well, I just had to comment because having a Pip on your face is just so darn adorable! thanks for sharing!

Too old to get my own pipster, but can I just be an honorary Nana? There’s nothing better than a little floor-mauling! Makes my day!

Oh I love getting to know about your Precious Pip. Your joy and love shine through each post and your photos capture her adoration for you!

I also have a child with special needs (my son is 11 years old) and I wish I had the great attitude that you do, I want to be you when I grow up ;)

You mentioned in your blog getting in contact with families blessed like you are with Piper Jane. Have you looked on CDO or Unique? I ended up finding families with my sons same chromosomal deletion there, and we were told that there were only 30 cases in the world. We now are in contact with about 15 other families. You can e mail and I will send you the links!

are you even kidding with the red gingham checks? why do i kid myself and think she can’t possibly get any cuter? and then. she. gets. cuter. i think the high-tops must help contain all the love you squish into her clothing. and p.s. she’s better than one of those candy necklaces. she’s delicious and Pippy and, sigh, i don’t think she could possibly get any cuter. you’ll prove me wrong. xoxoxoxo

OMG! I was all mad at the world and Miss Crankypants this evening until I read your blog and saw those make-me-grin-from-ear-to-ear photos! She is the Pippiest of Pips! And, by the way…how lucky are you guys…a Pip AND a Pouch of Princesses!

MWAH from my house to yours!

No matter how many toys we bought for our kids, we were always the “toys” they liked the best. Just something about that undivided attention. Piper is precious and the piptures are priceless! God bless.

nothing like lap sleeping….seriously. Its the best. It won’t be too long before my kids are too big to fall asleep in my lap – and I will MISS IT!

    This little gal nicknamed Pip
    who’s mama dresses so hip
    With style and with grace
    Plopped on her mama’s face
with the princess tight in her grip! :)

  • Comment from Sarah

I *strongly* need my own Pip! But first I’d really like to get my hands on this one and give her a big fat snuggle! Who doesn’t need their face sat upon on a regular basis?! Pretty sure I must find myself a face-sitter and fast. Way to be a trend setter Piper (clearly your mother’s daughter, I say)–I think you’re the best! XO

I join the chorus of “met you thru cjane”! I myself am the mom of a young adult with some special needs. Your little family is just precious, and I very much enjoy reading about you all. I love all the cute ways you talk about your little Pip. : )
