Pip: skinny girl in some skinny jeans

So, they’re a little baggy. She’s just too dang skinny. They work better than any other fit of jeans, though. So..Hooray!
I think Piper Jane looks smashing in her skinny jeans.

(poor thing couldn’t get at her mickey with her shirt tucked in, so she had to poke at it this way)

This was one of the most difficult visits to end. Jake practically had to peel my fingers off of Pippy. It’s easy for me to put off leaving since Jake always ends up being the one to look for a parking spot when we get back into the city. FYI the later in the day, the harder, harder, harder it is to find a spot. It was definitely one of those days that we looked at eachother multiple times to say that we wished she could just come home with us. How dumb that she can’t. I’m sorry, but it’s just dumb. She’s at an age where she is just a happy, playful little girl. And she deserves to be home. And that is all that I have to say about that.

I interupt this complainathon to show you a happy video of Piper Jane watching old mickey mouse videos.

She’s so adorable – I’d end up squeezing her little face off, too. She’s totally from another place – definitely not of this world. Thanks for sharing such an intimate little piece of your all’s relationship. <3 Very sweet.

I thought the same thing when I saw this video, that you should be able to just take her home with you and continue all of the loving and laughing and squeezing for as long as you wanted.

Sweet editing job on that video. By Jake…. So artistic!

  • Comment from Lori

Piper Jane ROCKS those skinny jeans! Hmmm… Pip in skinny jeans, should we call that “Skinny Pippin?” LOL She’s just adorable and I LOVE the way you dress her, Reagan! That smile snuggling with her daddy and then her mommy is just sooo adorable! It IS dumb that she can’t go home with you guys right now. I don’t blame you for complaining!
Is there anything your READERS can do, Reagan and Jake to help that happen? By that I mean, would it help if, say, we were to write to Oprah or Dr. Phil or SOMEONE and asked for donations to pay for around the clock nursing care….say, a staff of a night nurse, and a day nurse or whatever. IF by small chance there is anything I can do please let me know! I’m a writer too and would be glad to help in anyway I can. In the meantime, I know you will all keep enjoying the time you DO get to spend together with your sweet Pip! Hugs, Lori

My daughter Holly and her husband live in NYC also…I look forward each day to reading my favorite blogs…my daugher’s and yours about your precious little Piper…..I am actually sad if too many days go by without an update from you NYC Girlies. I LOVED the video..She is too cute! But you already knew that. I also loved your shoes. I had some when I was a little girl, I called them cheerleading shoes b/c my mom wore them when she was a cheerleader in high school. I wish I could still pull those off…I think they look awesome on you.

  • Comment from Kendra

I hope and pray that Piper can one day go home where she belongs. I can’t imagine how hard it is to not have your baby home. I just love reading your blog and the adventures of Piper Jane.

I always think when I hug and love Tatum uncontrollably, literally uncontrollably, like you did in the video.. Ya know? Anyways, I think about the post you did about eatin your kids. Its like you just cant get close enough to them unless you took just a little bit. Right? You agree right?

LOVE the monkey shirt….and then you throw in red suspenders and skinny jeans and I almost can’t take the cuteness!!

That little Pippadee (that’s chickadee, Piper style) sure does love her Momma. I wish she could go home with you, too. <3

Reagan, I am teary-eyed just having read how extra hard it was for you to leave your sweetheart Pip on this day. I can’t even imagine. Bless your and Jake’s sweet hearts. You are being such special parents to her, and I feel honored to be able to peek in on your lives.

Pip is absolutely the most adorable girl in her skinny jeans, suspenders, and chimp shirt!

Sending heartfelt hugs to you three today.

Omigosh. I’m catching up on some blog reading while sipping on some Monday morning coffee in my office. Her outfit made me smile. BIG. She’s so spunky, I love her style.

  • Comment from Sarah Kate

Oh Crikey, the sideways eye thang. Yep. I’m going to have to say something banal like “I seriously don’t think she could be any cuter and then …. (NO ‘and then’)

And Reagan it is 100% stupidest dumb. I’m with Lori. Let’s rally. Stranger things have happened.

  • Comment from Kim

I loved watching your love…thank you for sharing it with us (sniffle).

  • Comment from Carrie

Oh man, I love everything about this post! Love her skinnies and suspenders. She seems so happy watching the cartoons as well!
And her side glances with those long eyelashes…

    Adorable!
    Happy Monday!
    xo

Long story short: Alexa Chung had them, and she gave a pair to you, and you have them. And my boyfriend owns a temporary Halloween Store (yes, it’s awesome) and they had them in there! So I HAD to buy a pair!

And I can’t wait to see the end results!!

  • Comment from Jenny

Reags, you’re not complaining. You’re just showing your loving mama heart the way any loving mama would. It is very sad and very dumb that Pippy can’t come home right now. But just THINK of the wonderful day when she DOES come home! I think that day should be on TV but I’ll bet you’ll want it private, just you and Jake and that Pip. I prayed for you today that you’ll be able to bring your Pip home soon. Meanwhile I’m totally digging on the chimp shirt and the red ‘spenders. That is a smashing look. Blessings to you all.

  • Comment from Lori

Reagan, I wonder if you and Jake have thought about teaching Pip some simple sign language so she could “talk” to you guys and her nurses too? I bet that would open up a whole new world for all of you IF it is possible?? To see her sign “I love you, Mama” would melt your heart to be sure!! Just curious but you probably have already thought of that or maybe it’s just not do-able for whatever reason.
Anyway, I thought of that in the middle of the night last night and so I wanted to run it by you guys! Hugz
