Piper Jane videos. (it’s been a while)

Here are a few hilarious videos of my little P-body. This first one is from Saturday. We have recently discovered that Piper Jane hates, I’m talking really hates, when her princesses are standing up. I first noticed it when Audrie had nicely lined them up in a row only to have them havoc-ly wreaked on by P.Jane. But as visits have come and gone, we’ve noticed that this mighty Pip will go to great distances to knock these princesses over. What is the meaning of it? Here in this video, I stood them up on Jake’s back while Pippy wasn’t looking, then I alerted her and the rest is hollywood history. Enjoy.

This next one is kind of old. But it is appropriate because it showcases how wild and crazy Piper Jane is. Notice how many times she tugs on her trach. This was when we were getting weekly phone calls that went something like this “Hi Mrs. Breinholt, this is Piper’s teacher. She pulled out her trach again and she is going to be in time out for 9 years or until she learns her lesson (so basically 9 years for sure)”. Thankfully, she has cooled it on the tracheal-tuggage. So I have been able to cool it on the Pippeal-naggage. Also, what I love so much about this video isn’t Pip’s naughty nature, it’s her tippy toes and kitchen play and giggles, those never ending giggles. She’s washing an Elmo cell phone. Getting it all nice and pipsqueakily clean! Enjoy.

PS let’s all pretend Piper Jane had 50 super awesomely evil ideas before this first video was filmed. That explains her hair.

Those are the most adorable videos. It is so amazing to get to see her in action, and the little sideways glance at you with the smile when she knows she shouldn’t be pulling on her trach is priceless.
I just want to pick her up and hold her on my hip all day long.
And the terrorizing of those princesses was fantastic. The look on her face when she saw that some were still standing….thanks for sharing those videos of her :)

first off, God bless you, for the sneeze that is. second, im a major blog stalker of yours since you were featured on cjane. and im super lame cause im not even LDS. ha. but i do also have a blog, so don’t worry, im not a creeper. your girl is darling! she is blessed to have you, and you are blessed to have her.

ps- your style/wardrobe makes me want to gag (in the best way possible) keep it up!

HA! Piper reminds me of those kings with superiority complexes who never let their subjects stand while in the presence of His Majesty!

(But of course Piper is much lovelier than any scraggly old king. She deserves to have the princesses bow before her.)

Real pip-squeaks! I’m happy now. And bless you. You couldn’t be goofily cuter if you tried. Thanks so much for vid-share-day!!!

  • Comment from Jessica

She is sooo cute! I can see why you call her “Pip-Squeak”…her squeaks are adorable! maybe it’s me, because I Don’t have a trach, but wouldn’t that hurt to pull it out? I found myself wincing because it just seemed like pulling it out would be an uncomfortable sensation. Just curious! Your daughter is adorable! And spunky…I was noticing those sneaky smiles! ;-)

  • Comment from Maggie

Probably my new favorite post. The crazy explosion hair. The (pip)squeaks. The sideways glances to make sure you’re watching her be all naughty. She’s uh-mazing.

  • Comment from EOMama

HA! I loved that sneaky little sideways glance after she pulled on the trach the 3rd time. Is she a little evil genius or what? (that’s what I call my twins when they do something naughty then think they’re funny)
Thanks for sharing. I am a wee bit obsessed with your Piper Jane. :-)

    cute vids!
why does she pull on the trach? does it itch? or does it give her relief to pull on it? or is she just being a lil girl? ;)

  • Comment from liz

oh she makes the cutest little kitten sounds so sweet.

your sneeze was hilarious for some reason. totally unexpected. i wish that would happen while people were commenting on golf games on tv. not that i watch them. but it would rock.

Piper is so cute about her princesses!!! Cinderella is my personal favorite–I love her!!!

Washing her cell phone is too precious. Glad to hear you’ve all come to an agreemnt on her not pulling her trach. She is so cute in whatever she is doing it must seem impossible to get too upset with her even knowing she cannot pull on it.

Thank you so much for you email. I broke into a huge smile when I saw your name in my mailbox. You are so kind.

I wanted to share this with you yesterday, but then I forgot to add the link to my comment . . .

This is a family in California whose 2 1/2 yea old little girl, Moriah, has also spent her life in the hospital. Victoria, like you, is beautiful and always looks put together. She and Justin also take trips away to refuel once in a while, and they blog about it too and share the fun they had. I thought you might enjoy seeing/meeting them. http://momentswithmoriah.blogspot.com/

I don’t know them personally, but a family I do know personally had a prayer request for them on their blog back when Moriah had septic shock. Septic Shock is close to my heart as I had it in December 09, and was in a coma for 2 weeks and then PT and OT and long hospital stays after that. (Ask me how many of my sisters offered to come help during this time. . . we had a wonderful couple from church come into our home to help with Mom and it was a blessing from Heavenly Father.)

Again, I think you and parents like you are absolutely in tune with what you need to be doing to take the best care of your babies. No one who hasn’t walked in your shoes knows what it is like to be you.

Oh my soul, Reagan, this made my day. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Piper is, in all other respects except the obvious (that she’s hooked up to that machine we love to hate), a NORMAL kid who loves to play and get into stuff and totally lose herself in the fun and excitement of the moment. And knocking those princesses down? It’s like Piper Princess Bowling and she always gets a strike.

I’m really digging your terminology too … utterly nailed it with “tracheal-tuggage” and “Pippeal-naggage” …. you are a hoot.

Thanks again for these treasures I’m sure to watch again and again!

BTW I forgot to say two things. One, I adore it when little kids get up on their tippytoes to play. My granddaughter Allissa does this to see out the window and when she gets REALLY into her various playing adventures.

And I wanted to say that after my granddaughter Melanie had her cleft surgery at the age of 18 months, she had to wear these two stiff cast-like things (removable with velcro) on her arms so she couldn’t get her hands up to her face. My daughter would put them on her and she’d have to walk around with her arms stiff as boards sticking out from her sides! She looked sort of like a hospital zombie creature.

Maybe you could mention those puppies to Piper next time she fiddles with that trach!

Now that my husband has been introduced to your Piper J., he is smitten as well. He thinks she is so cute. I love to see the videos. Fun to see Miss Pippy in action.

  • Comment from Kate

    She’s super duper amazing.

  • Comment from Holly

    LOVE!

  • Comment from Sarah

Can I just say it? I want her! She is the cutest thing EVER. Also, I think you’re an awesome mom. My sister has a child with special needs, and while he is able to be home with her, he also spends way too many days in the hospital. My sister is my hero for taking such great care of him.

  • Comment from Cam

Every time I see Piper do the sideways glance, I think to myself, there she goes again…giving her mama ‘the business’. haha!

Alternate definition: the stink eye. ;)

  • Comment from susan

Adorable. Thanks for posting these. She’s got herself a great attention span there.

  • Comment from bridget

i loooove the look she gives you at around 1 minute. she is such a pipsqueak (and she really does squeak which makes the name oh so appropriate).

  • Comment from Christie

I love the videos. It is so awesome to see her in action after reading about her on the blob. I love her little giggles and as everyone has said, the sideways glance was classic! That little Pip is so freakin’ precious!

  • Comment from Jennifer

i mean seriously… that last video is THE cutest thing and i really smiled the entire time i was watching her naughtiness and her sly little smiles while doing it. i ADORE her little noises and her scrumptious skinny legs. A-DOR-ABLE!!

  • Comment from Karen M

(God Bless You!) Your pics are always wonderful but hearing & seeing your Piper Jane in action is the best! What a little rascal she is pulling on her trach! Happy to hear that phase has mostly passed. :)

  • Comment from Rebecca

Shut The Front Door….those videos made my day. As always, she rocks it. I mean, who does Aurora think she is standing up like that??

  • Comment from Bridget

Okay, on the kitchen video I thought it was cuter-than-ever when Piper pulled the hilarious/playful/genius ol’ pull-on-the-trach-threat while smiling at Mom with her sassiness. Seriously. When you play the clip and pause it right at 1:01 Piper flashes such a communicative, adorable smile! Thanks for sharing such a bonding Mom moment with me/us/strangers. I needed a little Pip-me-up.

  • Comment from Jessica

Thanks for sharing those videos! Piper is such a cutie! I too love the kitchen sink video, & that little smirk she gives you when she pulls on her trach..:D Keep sharing!

  • Comment from Nicole
