Reagan runs. and eats..

It’s a good thing I like to run so much, because I also like to eat so much. I worry about what I’m putting into my body, but really hope that the junk I often indulge in, is canceled out by all the exercising I do. I hope it doesn’t come full circle when I’m 50!

Do you runners love eggs? By the last two or three miles, all I can think about is an egg and cheese on an english muffin. Maybe it’s because my body neeeds the protein? So I bring money with me and stop at dunkin’ donuts (or as Jake and I call it Drunkin’ Grownups, I don’t know why we call it that by the way) when I’m done with the run. And now I add a Pumpkin donut to that because it’s fall and I look forward to the pumpkin donut all year long. And you don’t need to point out to me that I’m eating double the breakfast I need to because I already know that! haha. (also I don’t eat this every day..and also I ran ten miles so I deserve double breakfast)

And don’t worry, even though Jake slept in instead of running, I got him some breakfast to wake up to too. (his donut of choice is an apple fritter)

I have a feeling this might be a photo Jake makes you take off your blob, heeheehee.
PS I still want to see your wedding photo!

Oh! Dunkin’ Donuts! Why don’t they have that in Utah? I dream of those donuts…I am a CJane reader and I ever since you guest posted for her I have been following you. Thanks for the laughs! I promised myself I was not allowed to read any more blogs of people I don’t know, but you have me hooked!

@Rae: What, Rae? You don’t think that I look totally hot laying there next to the donut, like that? Don’t worry. Revenge is sweet. Heheh

    Jake is totally fake sleeping!!!

Reagan, I love your breakfastness. I am so happy I have a breakfast lover of sorts for a friend. So, lets go do breakfast. Cheesy grits and biscuits anyone?

  • Comment from Jake

@Mimi: Hahahah. I wasn’t sleeping. Reagan woke me up and told me to look at the donut in front of my face. I was laughing.

PS, I expect another cute photo of Pene in her Utes gear, from you this weekend!

Ha! This post made me laugh. I am training for my first official race of (a measly) 10 miles. My last long run just about killed because all I could think about was having a smoothie for the last 2 miles…and last night’s run was all about pulled pork sandwiches. I’m all over the board, but could totally relate with the late-mile cravings :)

PS to Amanda – she got me hooked on CJane too…

    ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh I LOVE fritters.

Really – did you HAVE to do that?

  • Comment from kim

i’m the same freaking way. egg, white american cheese, and an english muffin makes me one happy lady after a good work out. and i kinda love donuts anytime, sorta my guilty pleasure

i agree with kim! as soon as i finish a work-out, all i want is a starbucks breakfast sandwich. i feel like an a-hole, cause i totally have all the ingredients to just make one at home, but it just tastes better when someone else makes it.

p.s. a pumpkin donut sounds terribly delicious. i guess i’m lucky there are no dunkin grownups in iowa. but i still wish we had ‘em.

p.p.s. mr.a’s favorite donut is an apple fritter TOO!!!! sigh. i can’t wait to surprise him with an apple fritter again. love you guys! (is that too mushy/lovey for a blog-relationship? sorry. but it’s true. you guys make me happy.)

You are eating the second one for me! You are so freakin dang skinny. I envy youuuu! But what is this I hear about a pumpkin donut? I must try! I don’t want you to get jealous or anything but Jake looks awfully happy laying there next to that fritter.

ha ha, I don’t run or do any sort of sports (though I live on a elevator-less 5th floor flat), hence I am careful as to what I eat … and I too am a bit worried when I wonder how it will turn out when I am 50. But there is simply no way I do sports, I really hate it…

Aaaah, the best part of running is the eating! And if you like doughnuts and running, there is a race here in NC called the Krispy Kreme challenge. You run two miles to the Krispy Kreme, eat a dozen doughnuts, and then run two miles back. In under an hour. My husband loves it. I ate half a doughnut, thought I would vomit, and just ran the two miles back.

  • Um..when you run 10 miles a day you most certainly get double breakfast. In fact, You could just get two donuts and I wouldn’t judge you. P.S. I’ve totally ate double breakfast and I don’t run 10 miles. But sometimes, donuts are just too finger-lickin good to pass up. Don’t judge me.
p.p.s. I like how Jake is commenting on your blob! It’s so sweet :) Good job Jake

So, since we don’t have dunkin donuts in Utah….is that basically an egg mcmuffin – like from McDonalds? Cause that looks good and I want one.

We have Banburry Cross for doughnuts. I wonder if they have a pumpkin doughnut? Of course, I’m not planning to run 10 miles, so I can’t have one.

Mmmmmmm Drunkin’ Grownups. When I come visit, will you wake me up with a donut? That would be the best ever.

i love love love eggs. Pre-run, post-run, rest days–all the time! We go through so many that I have personally cracked open about 7 double-yolk eggs this year.

Deeeeelishiooooosooooo! (that’s what we sing to vi when she’s eating her peas. it works. most of the time)

So cute. I can’t have doughnuts (gluten, meh), but love to make ‘em!

EGGS, I can – and do – have quite often.

    Like every frickin’ day.
