Pip or Treat: 2010 (Pip. Super Pip)

Let’s be real here, I have never been so excited to blog in my life. I went back and forth with Piper’s costumes this whole year. I had one idea for sure, then I had another one in mind, for sure, then back to idea one, for sure. Then after our weekend in Tennessee, I decided we had to be super heroes. My family has a thing about super heroes. My mom is Quiltra (because she is a quilter), my little brother is Slitherman because he is slithery? I can’t remember why he is Slitherman. Anyway, with how much the topic comes up at family get togethers (the topic of superheroes of course), I just couldn’t get it out of my head.

We had to be superheroes.

As you can see, we have a Super Pip on our hands. I changed things up a little bit, because I decided Piper Jane should be a villain. She is so sneaky, and villains are sneaky. Plus I bet she would totally want to take over the world if she ever thought about anything other than princesses.

The evilness really comes through with her huge collar. Evil villains like big collars.

Smirking. Evily.

Ok, I HAD to do it. I just had to get a few shots of her with her mask on. As you can imagine, the mask thing did not go well. Pip flipped in a bad way. It was adorable though and she forgave me.

SuperPip and ScissorGirl

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just off to take over the world.

Oh yeah, this is the big Blythedale Halloween Parade. This was the first year Pip was able to do it. I’m so happy. It was a big deal for me and we had a geat time.

After walking through all of the units in the hospital, SuperPip was turning into SleepyPip, so we finished up the parade in the Buggy. Confession: Piper Jane has never ridden in the big red buggy, I was ELATED that she did it for her first time with me there. Seeing these buggies being pushed through Blythedale packed full of cute little kids is one of my favorite Tues and Fri sights. Also, check out the kid with the huge muscles behind Piper Jane and Nataya.

I had a total BALL making Pippy’s Halloween cosume this year. I love her.

    Such an adorable little Piper.

  • Comment from Jenny

OK I had to come back and add, Pip in those gold drawers just makes me laugh, inside and out. So many different kinds of plucky preciousness, I cannot describe it. She is simply a wonder. Her little spirit is full of life and hope. The picture of you holding her hands, the one with her fingers sticking up, is too much. If I were you I’d enlarge & frame that one, and hang it on a wall where it’s the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning. Either than one, or the one with her walker, cape flowing to her ankles, and that look that says “I may be small but I am mighty.”

    Or both.

  • Comment from Jenny

Oh, I see now it’s not you holding her hands! Someone holding her hands. Either way I love it, Scissorsgirl!

  • Comment from tammy

I love it! I love yours too.
