i have to de-lurk myself and say that i love this blog and hairdresser on fire (though, for a really long time i couldn’t remember what it was called after my friend told me about it. i tried hairdo from hell, hair of hell, etc. until i finally, FINALLY found it.) it’s even inspired me to rock curly bangs today. wahoo!

seriously, i love both blogs, they brighten my day when i read them.

    I LOVE this!!!
Can you offer some advice for “party” looks for gals, like me, with straight, short, bobbed hair?

I love this blog, by the way.

  • Comment from Randall

I do read it and now have very nice swoopy bangs. Thanks! :)

  • super cute!

This makes me want to give you a big hug! And then go dancing. Love the bow. What a perfect touch to an already perfect (but not *too* perfect) bun. :) Jake did a great job, and Reagan, you are so beautiful. Inside and out. I am just so impressed. ::xoxo::

    Holla!! Mad skillz.

You are so skilled. I am jeal! I wish I could do fun things with my hair. Alas, I am all the way in Seattle. I am glad you have the tutorials at least!

  • I love this!!! I do believe that I could do this myself and it’s not often I claim this when it comes to my hair. I think I am going to try this tomorrow even if all I am doing is heading to Starbucks to sit (hopefully in a sunny window) and work on some grant writing for a search and rescue group my husband and I volunteer with. I love the bun and can’t wait to try it out.

You are so beautiful, and I know you are just as beautiful inside as you are outside.

So Serena totally wore a “party bun” on Gossip Girl this season, and I’ve been trying to copy it. I’d forgotten all about the need for preliminary teasing! Thanks for the tutorial. Though it’s not likely I’ll end up a Blake Lively look-alike, I’m gonna give this a shot.

i really need to start teasing. it clearly makes the world go round. and makes mouths happy. and makes lions roar. (okay i just made up that last one…but it seemed fitting.) i’m just a lazy turd when it comes to my hair. but mari’s right, you ARE beautiful on the inside. so i know you feel nothing but pity for me and my simpleton hair skills. usually i just pretend i’m an olson twin and it’s totally acceptable for me to walk around with nappy 3 day-old waves. even and especially while grant-writing at starbucks.

love the music in the videos, and since my daughter has long hair I may try this on her. How about a guest post from J now and then with hints on what new music you guys are listening to?

  • Comment from Rebecca

Oooo that is awesome. I am so doing that tomorrow for work! Only I’ll wear my rosettes in place of a bow!
Good luck with getting away this week!

oh my gosh! you are so cute and the hairbun looks so great! now i really want to let my hair grow. and that video – awesome! :)

  • Comment from Renee

Totally groovy video! You know that I have never owned a rat tail comb?! You encouraged me to go buy one and I can’t wait to play. i have pretty long think hair and hoping that the teasing will make it feel lighter, if that’s possible.

Oh and would love to see that tutorial on a low side bun!

i checked out your other blog yesterday and last night proceeded to dream about that bumble and bumble stuff that you recommended for people hair with loss issues. except in my dream i ordered the GOLD stuff instead of the brown, and didn’t realize my mistake until the damage was done and my head was all shiny and gold, kind of like a chocolate egg wrapped in gold foil.

so thanks, because that’s the first dream i’ve remembered in months! i was starting to worry that i would never dream again…
