I’m in Utah. Hooray.

I finally made it to Utah. It was a totally horrible day of travel, but after a taxi, the subway, the long island rail road, the air train and two airplanes, I’m here with my brother and Melanie. I was in a grouchy mood until I saw them, that’s how much I love them. Oh yeah, I had to do a client before I left and I fell down her stairs and all my luggage landed on top of me. I didn’t laugh about it until I was on my second flight for the day, then I laughed out loud and people stared.

Isn’t it funny that almost every outfit post has been in my apartment? It’s mostly just lazy and lame. I took these pics of myself with my new camera that Jake got me. It was so nice of him and he is realllly excited for me to figure out how to use it. I seriously can’t help that my brain shuts off after hearing the word “aperture”.

Cardigan-Urban Outfitters, Feather Shirt-Urban Outfitters, Belt-Target, High Waist Bell Bottoms-Vintage Levi’s, Shoes-Bottega Veneta, Necklace-Reagan’s Creation.

I started wearing pants and jeans more. That is something I have noticed about this outfit post thing. I used to never wear pants. It’s been fun!

Random: Want to see my bathroom? It’s tiny and weird and the only one we have in our apartment. Also, there isn’t a single outlet in there. Not one!Blog friends often ask to see my apartment, and I hesitate because you’d all be extremely underwhelmed..but bathrooms are funny here. I don’t even notice the difference anymore. Only one person can fit in there without having an argument, haha. We’ve tried it many times!

Last but not least, this week when I haven’t been working, I watched season one of British Skins. I love it! I can’t recommend it just in case you are offended by lots of swearing, occasional nudity and some inter-venous drug usage. Yeah, I know. It is a really dark teenage drama about all this kids going through really hard things. They’re so wild and you just want to take care of them. Especially Cassie, Sid and Chris. Anyway, youtube wont let me embed this video, so just click here and watch it! I loved this little musical number on the season one finale. It was so totally out of the blue.

PS I’m the only one awake!

Eeek, I have had some falling-down-stairs experiences in front of other people, and there are not many more embarrassing experiences in my book. Glad you could laugh about it later! Have soooo much fun in Utah! Y’know when you said your blogging relationship with us had gone to a new level when you showed us your bedhead and no make-up? Now you are showing us your bathroom. Pretty sure that also brings us all to a whole new level of relationship with you. And I think I speak for all of us when I say that we do feel quite honored! : D

OK, that was supposed to be a giant smiling face at the end of my above post, but the giant smiling mouth got placed on the next line, separated from the eyes. Just so you’ll know.

Sheesh, you are SKINNY!!!! :D (But, of course, in a healthy, marathon-runner sort of way.)

Glad you finally got there. Hope the nurse sends lots of pics to you! What a great thing for her to do.

Have a wonderful time with the fam.

Your bathroom looks just like mine but nicer! I don’t have any plugs either and it still annoys the crap out of me. I mean, really?! Did they not think someone would want to use electronics in there?

Glad you arrived safely and that you fell safely, kind of :)
I thought about the word “aperture” before I continued reading, I know what you are talking about! Here is a great post that I think might help you? Also, in Sweden we don’t have any outlets in the bathrooms which annoys me a lot!

Have fun while you’re here! You got here just in time for the heat wave. Instead of the teens, it just may hit the 30s. Hope you brought your speedo. Ans I hope you called Sam, cuz his threat gave me shivers. Hahaha:)

    You’re in Utah! YAY!
    Me too.
    It’s cold here.

I’ve been stalking you for a while (thanks to CJane) and I must say, I do enjoy your cute blog! AND I adore the fact you love the Smiths…busy, busy, busy scissors… Your little Pip truly brightens my day (I have a little one just a titch older, who also enjoys hiding out with a good book)…and your life in NYC seems fab (a fave place of mine to visit!).

    anywho…

    Do enjoy your visit!

At least it isn’t the kitchen!

  • Have a safe and fab trip.

We too have one bathroom in the main part of our house, but luckily it is HUGE and has a claw tub, which I love. The other bathroom is downstairs off of my husband’s office and I only venture down there for a shower every morning.

    I am loving your outfits.

  • Comment from Russanne

Do you lock all your locks at night?

Our bathroom is tintz too and it’s like insta fight in there. Sometimes it’s just a place to go though when you live in a one bedroom 100 year old apartment.

    Oh and you are fabulous.

I have been loving that show! I started watching it when i was on winter break and I went through the 3 seasons on Netflix so fast. And n ow that I am seeing commercials for the American version, I’m a little disappointed, but we’ll have to see. Oh and your outfit is adorable!

  • Comment from Reagan

Yea! You’re here in UT! How long will you be staying? I would love to see you, I know you’ve got birthdays and celebrities and stuff, but send me a fb shout out if you get a minute to yourself!
P.S. about the melanoma skin thing in a post you wrote awhile ago (I’m a little slow reading blogs, sorry), I definitely think scars are cool. I think you should tell people you got into a fight with a spider monkey over a purse and well, you don’t want to see what scars the monkey walked away with. Suck it, monkey!
P.P.S. Thanks for the tidbit about the sunscreen. I’m also pale as the moon. I have a crazy mole that reappears on my face that I got checked out. They kind of laughed me out the door because it was small, but geez! At least I got it looked at!
Will you still be my friend, even though i have a crazy mole?

Cute mini bathroom. cute outfit. funny..new york is so different from Utah. I lived in Logan for a couple of years and nobody locks their door. and then I see your new york door and that you have five zillion locks. AWESOME!

  • Comment from Rae

Good for you for laughing about the luggage at all. In those situations, I usually just swear and get really mad.
My bathroom is MINISCULE! The tenant before me was the owner’s daughter and her now husband lived here while they were dating. Do not ask me how two people lived in this apartment. It’s impossible.
So weird that there’s not an outlet in your bathroom. My brother’s old place in Boston was like that. Did people not used to get ready in their bathrooms? Bizarro….
British Skins sounds right up my ally. Is it on Netflix direct?

  • Comment from Rae

PS Funny how many people mentioned the doorlocks. I didn’t think twice about it….
I have three locks but only lock two.

  • Comment from liz

Our old apartment’s bathroom was really similar & also had no outlets. Every single time I would complain about it, my history-loving husband would take the time to remind me that the apartment had been built for guys who built the city to live in while building…no electricity yet.
    It didn’t help my attitude.

Have fun not working & living it up out west :)

  • Reagan, What camera did Jake get you? My husband, Phil, bought me a new camera too. He gave me the Canon D60 for Christmas, and two lenses in addition to the one that came with the body. I am taking a digital photography class at the local community college tryinmg to learn to take a good picture and get comfortable with the camera. Phil is a rocket scientist, so you can imagine what it’s like to go out on a shoot with him telling me what to do with the aperture and such. LOL

Thanks for a peek inside your crib! :) Ya gotta love NYC apartments! I had a friend who had a toilet and sink in one closet and the shower in the other. Bathrooms are just afterthoughts when space is at a premium!

Hey Reagaloon, I love Skins. The first season is by far the best though. The next one isn’t about the same people so try not to get as disappointed as I did. Only Tony’s crazy sister and her friends appear. Yay to be home with family, YAY YAY x

I loved Sid so unbelievably much I started considering it for a boys name. Kinda grown out of that now!
