Utah so far.

I have been having a blast with my family. I’ve been in Salt Lake City the whole time so far, but I’m planning on driving down to Southern Utah, where my parents live, in a few days. I’ve spent most of my time with Melanie and Nathan, but I did sneak off one night to hang out with Sam, Pete, Mimi, Kristen, John, Penelope, Clover and Mason (Jake’s siblings, siblings’ spouses and siblings’ children) at Mimi and John’s house. Then I went to dinner with Sam and Pete at Bombay House.

If you’ve never had mango lasse drinks, then well, I’m really sorry for your mouth.

I miss Jake and Piper. Like crazy.

One thing I never really thought about, was how hard it is to take pictures without Jake. He is so comfortable whipping out the camera at all times. I just forget or feel awkward. That’s why I’ve hardly taken any pictures, and not a single outfit one since I’ve been here…

Hey, want to see a random picture of me wearing a spiderman mask? My bangs are sticking out of the eye holes.

And last but not least (is this post the suckiest ever? I’m watching a movie and I’m a little distracted), here is a video of me and Mel dancing to Just Dance 2 on the wii. Want to know something crazy? Melanie is in the midst of chemotherapy and she is hooked up to an IV in this video, and she still beat me by like a couple thousand points. I feel like this video should be on the Ellen show or something, it makes me so happy. Enjoy, and get inspired.

And just for fun, I sped it up on my iphone app, vintage video maker.

Isn’t this inversion nasty? But it does make beautiful sunrises and sunsets. =)Your lucky too. You came when it started to warm up a little bit!
    Have fun!

So, I took your advice, and had my eyebrows threaded.they look great, but geesh…that hurt more than getting the hoo-ha waxed. ;) lol

i want one of those dance games so bad. (i’m such a brat. a few years ago i wanted a nintendo DS so i could play “brain age.” mr.a got me one and i played it for like, 2 months. i’m such a sucker for commercials.) but i’m convinced that my future as a freaking-awesome dancer lies in owning that. i know it means spending lots of moolah because we’d have to buy a wii… but, i think it’s in mr.a’s best interest for me to be a freaking-awesome dancer. right? what mister doesn’t want a freaking-awesome dancer-wife?

also: my mouth is sad that i’ve never had a mango lasse drink. never even heard of a lango masse drink. but anything with mango = YUM.

and also also: whenever i feel dorky pulling out my camera in a restaurant or wherever, i pretend i’m awesome and that i work for some newspaper or magazine or basically anyone that would pay me to take a picture of something. and then i feel better.

I’m right in the middle of chemotherapy too, but I don’t have that much energy! I’m on my way out right now to get that game :)

Melanie looks like a total natural. Jealous.
You guys looked like you were having so much fun. And I love the sped up movie. It reminds me of an old time silent movie, you know with like, Charlie Chaplin?
The city misses you, but glad you’re having fun in Utah. :)

My favorite is how you stretched your arms right before the music started so you were in top form to tackle the charleston. All Olympian-like.
Is it bad that Instead of reading bedtime stories to my daughter tonight, we watched you two-step it with Melanie. Isn’t family the best?

  • hi reagan! i read your blog all the time, and i featured you as a cartoon on my blog! (please don’t be offended, i can’t draw :) http://www.camilleyanair.blogspot.com

I love these dancing videos! I want that game because wow that looks like fun. The fact that shes doing that while getting chemo is pretty damn amazing.

You should frame that picture of you in the spider man mask, it’s awesome!

I think you should send it to Ellen!!! Maybe she would give you and Mel a big prize…or a least have you two come and dance on her show!

I saw you there at Bombay that night! Crazy small world!

  • Comment from liz

I really, really hope that you two had practiced that dance 67 times before filming, because I am way impressed with both of your moves.
    Way out of my league.

Hooray for bucking chemo stereotypes & getting your groove on.
