The piptures with Jake below are the weekend winners. It wasn’t even a contest this time around.

We took Piper Jane on a walk around the hospital. She gets so excited for walks now, that as soon as we leave her room she does kind of a gallop/run/jump/dance move. And when we go on walks, we don’t even bring her walker anymore. She is that good at doing it while just holding my hand. But because of the gallop/run/jump/dancing thing, we have to be careful or she’ll gallop right out of our hand and onto the floor or wall or door or vent. It’s scary as crap.

That is how strong she is these days. She is getting more and more independent all the time. She is more sure of her feet and confident with her balance each time we go out, it’s actually becoming easy to imagine her letting go of my hand completely and walking around her house on her own. I am so curious what will happen then. Because, you know, she is hooked up to a ventilator and all.

(for those of you who haven’t seen the Pip Gallop in person, I’m sorry if your jeal’ scale is off the charts.)

    Oh, pleeeeeeeez, we MUST see video of the Pip gallop!!! I am imagining her walking without her walker–only holding your hand! Wow! I had no idea she was doing that well. I am so proud of our Pippy. Also, LUV these piptures.

    I think she kind of looks like Jake in the second to the last pipture. I haven’t noticed that before. These are soooooo cute! I love the moccasins!

    Awww, Reagan, we NEED to see the Pip gallop–pleaase? ;) Seriously, that little Pip of yours just gets cuter every day! And I LOVE that last photo of her with her daddy–they obviously adore each other and have great fun together! Thanks for the Pip-fix lol!

    That’s so exciting that she is walking so well!! It sounds like her walking all by herself isn’t too far away!
    P.S. I saw an ad for an Amanda Knox lifetime movie that’s coming up and thought it would be right up your alley. “Who is she?!?” Lol.

    in the second from the last pipture they are totally making the same facial expression…raised eyebrow same smirk. it’s ridiculous. how do you not squeeze the crap out of both of them, they are adorable together. sorry jake, i know men don’t like being called adorable. but whatev.

    i’m curious about the vent tubes, if I may. why are there two “main”, i guess, tubes and why doesn’t it hurt (or does it?)to just hang from her neck? will she ever have a smaller apperatus-if there is such a thing?
