Since I haven’t been writing as much about Piper Jane, a lot of new things have happened. She is suddenly bursting with confidance in the walking department, and she will even just stand there. Hear me? Stand there. Like she is running the place or something. She stands and hangs out, instead of standing and frantically looking for something to hold on to. She doesn’t need something to hold on to anymore, she’s big! And big kids stand on their own. They also break their mama’s heart with their bigness.
Here we are playing “Miss Suzi had a steamboat”.
See? She just stands there! Like she is running the place. What is this?
(please give me number nine. and if you disconnect me…)
She just stands there!
We walked around for a while before going outside. To our great fortune, the playground was unlocked. So we slid and climbed for a bit.

She just sits there!
I let go of my baby to push the vent closer to the climbing wall, and when I looked up she had taken off by herself. When she got all the way to the top to Jake, she backed down the whole thing into my arms. She is literally a hundred years old just in a matter of no time. Where did my baby pippy go?

When she got back down she reached for me. I picked her up and it was clear that she had played extremely hard for the last 15 minutes, and that it was already nap time and not to mention how hard she had already worked in therapy that morning. She had already fallen asleep in my arms before we even got back into the building, and her legs were dangling and floppy from the unconscious state she was in. I proceded to enjoy one of the most wonderful naps Piper Jane ever took. And Piper Jane enjoyed one of the most wonderful snuggles I ever gave, if I do say so myself.
And since Pippy is so old, she has to have a new bed. Because she has been engaging in some crazy **** in her crib that has needed to be put to an imediate end for her safety. I wish I were joking. I always knew I gave birth to a monkey, but this Pip has exceded all monkey predictions, and gone into some new monkey realm that we never knew existed.
I’m sad because she is too big for a crib and that means she is much much much too big to be in a hospital still, but I’m happy because this bed has tons of room for her to play in. And I fit in it too.
That’s all.
Actually, that’s not all! Last chance to enter to win the Sheraton getaway at Blogher! Go read my review and enter!

I love the picture of her at the bottom of the slide. Also in these photos I love that one can tell from looking at your hands and hers that you are mom and daughter.

I think Piper’s new bed is a “Soma Safe”.
