Mid-week

This week has been slightly mad.

I have had tons of appointments and business all week (like every week) and I am counting down the hours until my weekend. Which will also be very busy but enjoyable busy. Not head-spin busy.

Two updates. I moved the car this morning and I survived! I also only had to spend 15 minutes looking for a parking spot! Update two is that the funnel trick has worked for the fruit flies. I came home to a million funnel traps all over the kitchen. Jake was like a little funnel making elf! So now we have a bunch of mason jars full of fruit flies.

It is feeling fally here in NYC today. We’ve still been in the 80s, so this cool weather is welcomed. I think my old friend Lacy is coming with her family for Thanksgiving, and that is just going to be a blast. And also that will make more people eating the turkey I buy and Jake cooks. (it seems too early to talk Thanksgiving. before you know it it will be Christmas!)

Jake has grown his yearly fall beard. I love Jake’s beard. He is like a rugged mountainy funnel making elf.

I am going to London in a week from today and I haven’t planned a single thing. I have saved a bunch of comments and emails to look through, but it is going to require several hours of my time. Thank you for your suggestions!

Anyone watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Mean girls!

Speaking of London, I have a bunch of posts lined up for while I’m gone. I wrote out some random childhood stories for you and I really hope you like them. I was kind of a maniac.

My first Aussie video is up! Please go watch it and let me know what you think!

Random posts like this are my favorite.

Reagan ~ you are so awesome to think of us while you’re gone. I hate it when my bloggers go away and I have to listen to silence until they return. Can’t wait for the stories! BTW, I started reading your blob when you did a guest post for CJane. I check my regular blogs each morning, and I have a habit of saving my fave for last, which at the time was CJane’s blog. And while she is still great, for a while now yours has been last daily blog I read. So by moving down, you moved up! Ha! :)

First, you should wear mustard yellow 24 hours a day – you look stunning in that blouse with the red lipstick! Second, you look so cute in your blue polka dot dress in the Aussie video. I still see Rachel Bilson wearing it in magazines. She’s SUCH a copy cat! Third, I’m very happy to have had nothing to offer in the fruit fly suggestion department, but am heartened by your success. Can’t wait to hear the London stories. Love, (in the appropriate blogging sense) Jenny Page

Oh my gosh–how mean are Kyle and Kim to the new girl, Brandy?? I had to hide my face while I was watching it I was so embarrassed for the girl (and I didn’t even think she was that sweet)!

I love the picture of you–the mustard yellow and your red lips. Beautiful!

I can’t wait to hear all about your trip to London. I love London.

I also love my husband’s fall beard–he looks like a gentle giant and his beard is now grey and so soft and cozy.

I watch all the Real Housewives’ shows. I could not believe how mean Kim and Kyle are. And what was the deal with Kim constantly in the bathroom, you can’t tell me she refreshed her make up that many times. And Dana (or Pam as Kim calls her) was such a “mean girl” to Brandi. It’s like they all are in high school..and can’t accept new people. I do think if Adrianne was there, none of that behavior would of went on! ;)

Wait what’s the funnel trick? I saw the plastic wrap one you were going to try…is that what you mean-or is it another one that a reader suggested? I need to know! ;)

Love love love that show!! You know how people have book groups? We should have a RHOBH “book group”! Dish on all the CRAZINESS that goes down each week, because I swear, I love it!

And I really like the pic. It looks so very New York to me.
