Piper Jane is a puzzler.

I usually like to just hang with Pip and do our own thing while I’m there, but every once in a while it’s nice to sit in on PT, OT or speech.

A few weeks ago, Pip and I went over to the therapy village for OT and we got to do puzzles, legos and put big wooden beads on and off of a little rope. I love therapists. It’s such a wonderful career. Their whole objective is to create a quality of life, and it really works. Piper can walk and play and climb and do things she wouldn’t have had the muscle development or understanding to do otherwise.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of our little OT sesh.

She kept watching the other kids in the village and not paying attention to her own projects. Funny girl!

When we got back to the room, we picked out a book to read.

When will I stop gasping at how big she is?

  • I have a cousin who is in school to be an OT. Her levels of kindness and determination astound me. Piper is so lucky to be in such good company!

    Also, love the Pippy braids!

she seems like a sweet little baby..well, big girl ;) Can Piper talk? Or is the speech class helping her learn to talk/pronunciate things?

it’s nice to be appreciated as a therapist, especially with little ones like Piper. A lot of parents seem to think we are “just playing” or that it is something they could easily do and that it’s not worth the cost. Thanks for the love, we appreciate hearing it!

Dressing your babies in blue jeans always make them look at least a year older, i think!
    Love it!

I’ve been reading you blog since a few years back when I googled “toga costumes” and came across a picture of baby Piper in her toga. I seriously died and fell in love. I can’t believe how big she’s gotten!! She’s the cutest!

I love your blob! Piper has grown so much… Please forgive me but I am uncertain: Piper is doing so well, is there any way she can ever leave the hospital to come live at home? I just see how far she has come, and just think it would be wonderful…
