My favorite part of my Pip visits is the moment I first walk in. I usually kind of sneak in quietly to see what Piperjane is up to before she knows she’s being watched. I often find her in funny positions, playing with her figures or climbing things that aren’t meant to be climbed. It cracks me up that she can feel my eyes on her, because she always knows I’m there after just a few seconds…and this is the best part…she turns around and gives me the grinniest evil smile I’ve ever seen since the last time.
Long intro.
So, the other morning, I walked in and Pip was sitting like this in her kiddie cart. I have never seen her do this in my life! I was a little surprised for a minute, and wondered who put her like that, but then she did a quick little shimmy and her legs swept out from under her hiney just like that! I sat there laughing which made her realize she must have done something hilarious and then she started laughing and it was a chain reaction that lasted nearly 20 minutes.
Or, I guess way longer, because I’m laughing right now 4 days later.
I just love that she always has one of her figurines in her hand NO MATTER WHAT!!!
That sneaky Pip! Kids always know when they are being watched. I could always feel my moms eyes on me, watching me like a hawk.

Quite frankly, Pip is the sweetest, cutest, most smile-invoking little one I think I have ever seen.
Yay for laughing with your Pip! Laughter is definitely good for the soul, and I can’t think of a better person for you to share a laugh with. I must say that she is looking like such an older little girl in this pic!

Reagan- I just wanted to say thank you for having such an upbeat and positive blob. In a world of jerkfaces and meanieheads (can you tell I teach kindergarten?) It is nice to know there is someone out there online making the world a better (more fashionable) place-heehe! It’s inspirational, I tell ya’!

Actually, after reading the comment from Holly Young I have a few more things to say…
Yes. This! Your blob is so happy and positive and REAL! That to me is what brings me back every day. Sometimes more than once. Because there are rude people and jerk faces out there. Because the blogosphere has become dominated by so many, IMO, fake mommy bloggers who are out to be the next Dooce or Pioneer Woman and make their millions. FTR I like neither of those blogs. And so many who try to emulate and be THE mommy blogger with advertisements and give always and half truths. Worst of all, the ones who use tragedy and sick children as bait. I had to step away from blogs for a long time because I couldn’t find one that was sweet, genuine and an enjoyable diversion from every day life.
Reagen when you told your loyal fans that you felt a need as Piper’s mama to step back and not make every post about her. That you desired to keep some of this just for her, for you and Jake, for your little family. I had such respect for you in that moment. If you do or do not make money off your blog is none of my concern. To be honest I hope you do. That you choose to keep that separate, that you make your blob about your family, your life in NYC, about things that matter to you is honest and true.
I am rambling. Not sure why. Just wanted to say that your blob is a breath of fresh air in an Internet full of “keeping up with the virtual Jones’s” . It keeps me coming back. It has me in love and in prayer for your beautiful little girl.
