Here are a few little pics from my birthday night. I had 4 girlfriends over and got dressed up. I actually posted about it twice on a Hairdresser on Fire so I’m kind of bored of writing about it. Also, if you read both blogs, then you’re probably bored of reading about it!

I thought I was the only person who sat on the floor with a mirror propped against the wall to do my makeup! I dream of a cute little vanity to sit at to get pretty every day, maybe with one of those little round swivel seats…..but for now I’m on the floor!

28 was my favorite age! I loved being 28. Loved it so much that I am now perpetually 28. When my kids wish me a happy birthday, they always wish me a “Happy 28th”. Although it is kind of awkward now that I have a 20 year old daughter! I hope your 28th year is as fabulous as mine was 14 years ago!

Hi Reagan,
Happy Birthday! I had always guessed that we were close in age but until this post I didn’t realize exactly how close – I turn 28 on the 18th so it turns out we’re only two weeks apart. Isn’t February a great time for a birthday?
Anyways, I’ve been reading your blob for a year or two (I think C Jane introduced me to you) but I haven’t commented until now. Your birthday seemed like as good a time as any to say hello. Your blob is so inspiring. I love that you don’t sugar coat any of the bad stuff, but you show so much appreciation for all of the amazing stuff. You and Piper have taught me so much about how children with disabilities are just as spunky and adorable and sweet and perfect as children who don’t have disabilities, and so much about the power of a mother’s love for her daughter (I don’t have children yet, but hope to some day). I should probably cut this comment short before it turns in to an actual block of cheese (but if it does, hopefully it’s feta). Just wanted to say hi. You rock! (So does Jake. I poke around his blog sometimes too. His videos and photos are fantastic and his letter to the senator last year made me cry.) I shared HDOF with my own hair dresser, and if I ever make it to NYC I hope to look you up at your salon so I can get my hair did.
