I’m so grown up.

This is my first post from my brand new laptop. My old Mac broke about a month or two ago, and I’ve been working from Jake’s lappie ever since.

I saved up, took the subway to the apple store, and bought myself a new Macbook Pro with my own money. It was one of those times that I realized I’m a grown up. I remember when saving up 200$ was hard and took all the will power I had. As I get older, I have the same vices, but I’m able to control them a little more by seeing further into the future. That’s the funny thing about being young (like 17-18-19)…I was only able to see until the end of the week. My parents were constantly trying to teach me the value of working hard and earning for myself, and then spending wisely (or investing/saving) but ultimately, it was something I wouldn’t understand until I grew up. I was always that young 20 year old living off of crumbs until my next paycheck, because I took that paycheck straight to the mall.

Anyway, I’m feeling pretty grown up right now!

First webcam photo. Proud!

(for how grown up I’m feeling, this picture says otherwise…poor Jake lays next to a girl in kid pajamas)

Congrats! That’s exactly how I felt when I saved up and bought my first digital SLR in December! :) (Also my first (old, used) car last year… it probably says something about me that I find the camera purchase more significant!) By the way? Those jammies are adorable.

haha! I have simliar pjs and seriously love wearing them. sooo comfy even though I feel like a school girl. Congrats on the new laptop! I hope to someday be a Mac owner as well. For now, mr. PC will have to do.

  • Oh you are going to love the new MBP! I call mine my baby, because it’s the nicest thing I have ever bought myself.

The grown up purchase with the kiddie pj’s are perfect. No need to rush yourself to Dirty 30. Believe me girl!

I bought a MBP on eBay last month and just love it. While its not the latest model, it works for me. So cool you saved and were able to buy a new one!

Good job Reagan! Saving up makes a purchas so much more special. Cool PJ’s-don’t worry I just bought a new ski jacket in a kid’s shop.

Are they footie pajamas? That would be extra cool, but if you’re like this tall girl, that’s a hard thing to find that still allows one to stand up! 30 is the new 20! remember to put down the sippy cup before taking p.j. shots – I learned THAT the hard way! j.k.

Oh, look at you, and then look at Piper Jane in the photo to the left of you, the one in the blue dress and white tights. I really see the resemblance between you in those photos. Nice!

You and Piper Jane look soooo much alike in that last photo Reagan… Ive never seen that before but boy oh boy does she look just like you!

Feeling better, Reagan? hope so. did you know there is a character in the Lorax movie named Pipsqueak? I always loved that book as a child. I remember the Lorax kept saying ‘I stand for the trees!’ Good old Dr. Seuss – a ‘green’ guy ahead of his time. Happy Weekend!

So, tonight I’m reading through all the blogs I visit and come to see what’s new with you. As I sit in the same pj’s.

Truth be told Miss Reagan… we all are kids on the inside. Jammies make us feel secure (and I am almost fifty). I love your kid jammies… maybe I should get some. They won’t be as cute on my overweight body… but I would be comfy. When I watch SMASH do you know which person you remind me of??? Megan Hilty!!! I know I don’t know you at all… but there is something about your smiles… and your love of life!

Have a fabulous day with your hubby and your PiperJane!!!!

    Reagan.

I will have you know that I am jealous of your new computer, so I didn’t comment last night.. hahaha, but I read your blog & so therefor I dreamt about you. That’s how my dreams work, whatever I think about before I go to sleep etc. Anyways.. I dreamt you were staring at my roots & you asked me what the hell was wrong with me. It was pretty epic, but I also dreamt about Tornados in NYC, so…

I agree with above comment, you are totally sista’s w/megan hilty (i guess that’s her name) crazy alike. I’m glad someone else sees it.
