So sorry you were robbed, but happy to hear of the awesome things going on. I’ve also been super jealous of your apple picking photos on Instagram! Where I live (VA) the apple trees are not tall enough that you get to climb them. They’re pretty much baby trees compared to the ones you visit! I can’t wait to see your costume… and hopefully Piper’s, too!

I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear. well, after my apartment getting broken into in January, which i wrote about, my iphone was stolen from my pocket in August, and my checked baggage was ransacked (and stolen from) during my flight to atlanta last month. Very valuable items were stolen (including my Bottega Veneta handbag and contents). Maybe I’ll write a post on that and why we should all fly American Airlines with major caution.
Whew, glad to hear it was not your apartment again, that would seriously scare me. But yeah sucks big time such theft can go on with the airlines. Me thinks they need to have security cameras all round to keep sticky fingered employees in line.

I found your blob recently, and I seriously had to search back through the card catalog (remember those) of my brain to remember how I came across it? It appears I have not just long term, but short-term memory loss too…who’da thunk?
Well, here’s what happened, I guess I am going to bring you along for the ride because I am pretty proud of myself for remembering…someone commented on my blog that she thought I should share my story on someone named Miggy’s blog. I thought Miggy? What a cute, cuddly, little name, but I’ll have to check this Miggy out to see if I really want to share my story over there.
I was looking around, and thinking hmmm…seems ok, she seems sweet. I saw Lamp and couldn’t stop myself with the obvious…I love Lamp! I love Lamp! How could you not love Lamp? I thought, okay ~ I like this little Miggy who stayed home, I like her idea too, she’s pretty smart to have come up with this idea to share others’ stories!! I may want to do this too. I like it. I like it a lot.
But then, after searching around a little more….ohhhh, Reagan came up with this idea. Who is Reagan? And off I went, onto your blob. Now I know hate is a strong word and they say you should use it carefully and sparingly, but honestly…I have always hated the word blog. So when I saw you used blob…I fell. Head over heels. Sheesh, enough with the back story…see you in a sec, I don’t know how much your blob takes, and I have so much to say to you, as you can tell.
I don’t exactly know all of your story, or all that you have been through, but what I do know is individually you and Pip are two of the most beautiful souls on this earth. Yes, this is something of such beauty in itself, but what is even more magical is what happens when the two of you come together. In every single picture of you both, it is plain and simple to see – you and Pip radiate from the inside out while in each other’s presence. As I look at pictures of you, the love you share together is literally bouncing off the screen. I know you know this, but some go through an entire lifetime without ever experiencing that sort of love. Now I know this sort of thing cuts both ways, as the deeper the love the more the hurt, but what’s the point of loving if not with everything, right?
Reagan, I took one look at Pip and I see and feel so much that I just can’t quite put into words. I have a little one too, her name is Aviana – she can’t talk, or walk, or much, as a car hit her while she was crossing the street with my parents when she was just about to turn 3.
And while we each can’t possibly know what the other is exactly feeling, or experiencing…when I look at Pip’s sweet little, loving face…I can’t help but see my daughter too. I see love. I see a whole separate world in which we live apart from. I see a sweetness. A see a feisty spitfire little girl. I see a girl that without one single word, speaks volumes. I see a spirit that has fought harder and longer in her short years than most people will ever probably fight in their whole entire life. I see a girl who’s sidelined while all the others play, and a mother who witnesses the whole thing. I see a mom who has to see and do and be, because her little girl can’t. I see a girl who is probably both totally happy and content, but maybe has a mama who wonders if that’s the case based on her own childhood and life, but that’s just me….
My whole heart goes out to Piper, to you, to Jake. To all of you. You are all amazing. And Reagan, let me be clear here. I don’t mean amazing in a, “Hey hon, didn’t you think that Pimp My Roll was amazing tonight?” or “Don’t you think the new Urban Cone song is amazing?” or even “Isn’t it ah-mazing that I, Jen Hodder invented the word jeal on the Ricki Lake Show back in 1999? (Yeah, I happened to read that one! Just wanted to see your jaw d-r-o-p gurrrl!!) Seriously though, I mean amazing in the way in which you are among the very few who could ever do what you are doing physically, emotionally, mentally, everything-wise.
But you Reagan, I have looked around your blob, and the way you have handled all you have been through, and most recently are going through, my gosh…you have handled everything with such grace.
