A Merry Christmas Video. (from the naughty list)

I had a great idea to transform Pip’s room into a Christmas wonderland. I slept over with her and waited anxiously all night for her to wake up and enjoy all the hard work I put in….10 hours of paper snowflake making, wrapping each present carefully and thoughtfully, lugging all the presents and decorations to her house..

Here’s how it all went down. By the way, I can’t stop watching this video.

    I thought I had a pretty decent Christmas season — then I saw this — it was the absolute highlight of the season — I think Pip is the best, funniest girl ever.

    Classic hilariousness! Mom puts in tons of work, expectation for awesomeness, and kids doesnt play along. Gotta love it. Great work, and glad you got your smiles at the end. :) Cutie patootie!

    I love the little kick at the christmas tree and then the way you two just looked at each other afterward…classic. I guess she wasn’t ready for all that awesomeness. glad to see she enjoyed the goodness later. May 2013 be filled with wonder and happiness for both you and Pip.

    loved this!! pure awesomeness!! all the effort and love that mom’s put into the big day often get kicked down…this just happens to document the honest truth! but the smiles and love were so sweet and tangible! what a lucky lucky girl that pip is!

    you are hilarious! I love that you could find humor in an unexpected reaction. For years my oldest son hated Christmas morning and it was so confusing to me. Found out at age 5 he had high functioning autism and all the change and attention was too much for him to process quickly. He still only gets excited about gifts once a year only if it’s the exact item he asked for and is expecting. little stinkers. :)

    Oh,that Pip is the cutest little grinch I could ever imagine! Ha ha! This is sooo funny, and she really has that leg action down pat, doesn’t she? I noticed you did finally get a smile out of her at the end! What a sweet mama you were making that beautiful little Christmas area just for her.

  • Pip sure wasn’t in the mood for Christmas this year, was she? I was wondering why it was a punk rock Christmas until I saw the video, and then it all made perfect sense! :)

    Well all is normal at the house of piper jane!….Reminds me of some of the Christmas’s with my kids. What a great way to document it.

    You seem like a really nice mom and piper is really cute, but that video made me sad. She seems really unhappy (who coud blame her).
