a blistering cold day
then these piptures are just some old ones i came across from june 2008. i can't believe how little she is! this was just after her 1st birthday! she couldn't even sit up by herself yet and she is wearing a newborn romper. so nuts. also, those are katie-kate's fat feet in the background. this was their first cousin meeting.
she really was like a little baby in my arms. now she is so big! even though it takes much longer than the average kid, it still seems to fly by. wow....that's what i say to all that piper, jake and i have been through together.
thanks again to all our amazing friends. i cant believe how you've/they've jumped to the rescue. even though we haven't taken up on most of the offers, the love is really felt. our buds have offered to bring meals, clean our home, do our laundry, visit us, move our car, pick up dry cleaning...i am shocked at what you all think of.and also, i should mention the many, many emails, texts, phone calls, prayers, facebook messages, blog comments, etc. they really have helped. thanks guys. we love you!

farewell 24
The time you were clumsy and got a new umbrella out of it
The time you got described
The time you got 7 stitches in your face
The time you went to Puerto Rico
The first time you met Kate
The time you became the mother of a one year old
The time you saw a million mermaids (and their boobies)
The time you met Farmer Ted
The time you met your twin (and Piper's twin)
The time you ran the High Heelathon on Regis and Kelly
The day Piper smiled
The time your child flipped you the bird
The time we went to Philadelphia
The time you saw Weezer with Jake
The time you went to Hartford
The time your daughter was a goddess
The time you danced to ABBA
The time you got bangs
It all (and much more) happened at 24, I'm sure 25 will be just as amazing!
Jesse's Birthday!!!
So Elder Baker, have fun in Mexico....changing lives and being warm and eating burritoes and getting into heaven!
This is a random picture I found on my phone of Jesse holding our niece, Kate last summer. His taking a picture of himself with a phone skills are also braggable.
One more story about Jesse. When he was like 6, Nathan pinned him down in our front yard in TN, got him naked, threw his panties in a tree and locked him out of the house. He was jumping to grab his unders with one hand (the other trying to keep himself covered) then he gave up and tried with both hands. Then he decided to climb the tree and after about two whole minutes we realized we were being evil gentiles and let him in the house. I blame my mom. She homeschooled us, but left us alone all day with our mean imaginations. I don't feel bad posting this story because I was the youngest for five years before Jesse came along, so I know what it's like.

Dear Nathan
Happy Birthday Nathan! My older brother is 27 today. Nathan is my bff and I love him so. As you can see by the picture, he has always taken good care of me. Except for the time we played Robin Hood when we were 8 and 6. He dropped me from a 10 foot rope swing to save himself, and swinging together was HIS idea in the first place. Other than that, he has always looked out for me.
I wish I were there to celebrate with You and Mel! I hope you have the best day EV!!!
Note from author: January/February is Baker birthday season, so expect several of these posts.
Yeah. About that...
The good news: only one is going to fall off! The one on my right foot has somehow begged for mercy and gotten that mercy in the form of staying intact! Meaning no stumpage! Hooray!!!
The bad news: the one on my left foot is hanging on by one fiber of a human thread. Any day now. Any day. I can put my whole finger inbetween the nail and the toe. Jake walked in while I was inspecting that very thing yesterday and he literally peed his pants and threw up all over himself at the same time. Well, I guess literally he didn't at all, but he almost did and probably could have if he would have relaxed his muscles a little.
In rat squishing news. I stepped on a squished rat today. I was crossing Broadway and I stepped on something quite crunchy and quite squishy at the same time. I though "that was definitely something". And it was something! Gross, right? I mean, so freakin nast' in a really bad way!!!
Nathan and Melanie are flying in tonight! Yay! I love those guys!! Hooray!!
Last but not least, raise your hand (in comment form) if you found my new blob location/URL/slash subscribed to reader! Seriously, if you don't mind, I would like to know.
Bye!
