our first weekend of spring
notice her tiny feet above. oh how I love!
Piper has a hard time concentrating on anything when my blackberry is around. Oh, and that is her in her amazing scoli jacket. It is working miracles!
Crawling around. She never gives up, even though she gets so incredibly twisted in her trach tubes. I'm not sure what her plans were with the charger to her dvd player.
It seems like Piper likes me lately. Maybe I'm not just another person to kick.
When it comes to buying baby shoes, I seem to have little self control.

Get up, stand up. Dont give up the fight.
Standing up isn't easy. One of Piper's nurses texted me these pictures of her in her standing board and the first one broke my heart. Seeing Piper cry is enough to knock the wind out of me.
But then I got this one, which was only a slight wince.
Then this one, where she is actually playing.
I realized I shouldn't feel too bad if she was able to fall asleep in that thing.
*the purpose of the standing board is to get Piper comfortable with feeling ground below her feet. She currently has next to nothing in the leg/ankel/foot strength and muscle department. I wish these pictures got a better look at her standing boots. They are an adorable perk to having teeny tiny ankles. I guess.
You know how most times when you pick a baby up and their first reaction is to put their feet down with all their weight on them? Piper's first reaction is to play super man and try to fly.....with her legs and feet flailing to and fro and anywhere but down. As adorable as that is, it's not going to really get her far.
Wish her luck with learning to stand!
